Cake Decorating - Beginners

Learn the basic techniques of cake decorating using RTR icing (fondant), buttercreams, ganache, moulding, sculpturing, piping and the covering and creation of your cake. Some materials may need to be purchased in addition to course costs.

What to bring to Eileen’s class:

  • Tea towel
  • Apron
  • Pen & notebook
  • Dishcloth
  • 2 glass bowls
  • Plastic mat
  • New wooden spoon
  • 1 sieve (for icing)
  • 500g pure icing sugar
  • 1 egg white

Safety First:

Please ensure you wear closed in shoes, long pants and ensure long hair is tied back.

Other Information:

  • To ensure resources are ready for you at the start of your course, we ask you ideally enrol at least one week before the course commences.
  • All courses need a minimum number of students to run ("we try our hardest to get those") . If your course does not have enough students it will be cancelled before the commencement and you will be informed.
