Resin objects have been a very attractive form of art yet could get overwehlming to create so come and join our class to discover and master this beautiful material, with every time a different outcome. Shine at your next dinner party with your very own hand-made table art pieces! To make it easy we have incuded all materials, tools and explanations, nothing to think about just come and have fun. Keep in mind resin is a material that takes 24 hours of drying time so you will need to pick up your master pieces the day after the class. Bring your favourite beverage along to class.
Course Outline:
how to use resin and be safe
step by step of preparing and mixing colours with resin (large range of colours)
methodology of resin pouring
Learning Outcomes:
all the technicality and creation skills of decorating a cheese platter and salad servers
discovering and mastering the skills of mixing and matching colours
What to bring:
Resin doesn’t washes off so it would be good to wear an apron to protect your cloths/hair tied back
everything you need to create your board/salad servers will be provided
You are welcome to bring a vapor mask if you are concerned about the smell of resin
Bring your favourite wine or beverage along to class

About the Tutor:
'French native I have a degree in ‘visual art and textiles’ in France completed my studies in ‘visual arts’ at TAFE. My experience in art ranges from teaching adults/children/ private lessons and art workshops. My art journey covers commissioned works, art competitions and exhibitions of numerous artworks thought out different events. Painting is one of my life passions that I love sharing through different types of classes at the SGSCC. In any of my art programs, you will create a weekly artwork with explanations and support. The classes are educational while relaxing with gentle background music; they are a great opportunity to share art culture in general. All classes are suitable for any art level.' Valerie

To ensure resources are ready for you at the start of your course, we ask you ideally enrol at least one week before the course commences.
All courses need a minimum number of students to run ("we try our hardest to get those") . If your course does not have enough students it will be cancelled before to the commencement and you will be informed.

West side of Jannali, closest cross street is Louise Street. There is free onsite parking available and ample on road parking (not metered) if the car park is full.
Public Transport
From Jannali Station walk to the West side along Jannali railway (heading towards Sutherland), the fourth street on the right is Louise Street. Jannali Centre is at the end of Louise Street

Accessible toilet and ground floor wheelchair access available Monday – Friday 8:30am-5:00pm, see Reception for directions to room. After hours and weekends look for the Site Co-ordinator for room directions. Onsite Cafe open Monday to Friday 9:00am-3:00pm . Outside these hours there are drink/snack vending machines onsite. Jannali shopping precinct offers a variety of café and takeaway options, just a 3 minute drive away.
