This qualification is for individuals who will use well developed marketing and communication skills as well as being able to analyse and evaluate information from a variety of sources. You will learn to apply solutions to a defined range of unpredictable problems and provide leadership and guidance to others with limited responsibility for output.

What you need to know about this course:
- New students are expected to attend a mandatory college orientation before course commencement. Orientation times and dates will be advised after enrolment
- Classes commence week 1 of each school term
- Students will be accepted into class throughout each term
- You will need to plan for approximately 5-8 hours per week at home to complete assessment tasks
- There is no training during school holidays
- Private Facebook groups are used to share resources and learning
- Resources are provided by SGSCC
- Student lounge available

Course entry requirements
- There are no formal educational requirements for entry into this course
- Complete an SGSCC English language, literacy and numeracy assessment to determine that the student has sufficient skills to successfully complete the course

To be deemed competent:

- Progress with SGSCC to the BSB52415 Diploma of Marketing and Communication
Eligibility for Subsided Training under the Smart & Skilled Training Program
This training is subsidised by the NSW Government under the Smart & Skilled Training Program. To be eligible you must be
- an Australian Citizen/Perm Resident/NZ citizen/humanitarian visa holder
- aged 15 years or older, and
- live or work in New South Wales, and
- no longer be at school or equivalent

Eligibility for “Skilling for Recovery” - Fee-Free nationally accredited training
Skilling for Recovery is a NSW Government initiative to deliver JobTrainer funding in NSW. It provides free certificate, diploma and short course training to eligible applicants. If you meet the Smart & Skilled Program eligibility above and one of the following you could complete this course fee free:
- Unemployed (with or without a benefit); or
- At risk of unemployment; or
- 17-24 years old (employed or not)
